It all started over 20 years ago, we had this crazy idea to open our very own jamaican themed restaurant. While on family vacations to Jamaica and other islands through out the Caribbean , we fell in love with everything about that area of the world. The island culture and cuisine is is so intoxicating that we had to bring it to Wisconsin to share with everyone. After months of planning, It finally happened! Roll back the clock to July of 2000, the doors opened to our restaurant on the parkway next to Noah’s Ark in the waterpark capitol of the world, wisconsin dells and dreams were becoming reality. The relaxed island culture took the dells by storm and traditional jerk cuisine was a hit.
Where did jerk come from? Well according to wikapedia :
“Jerk is a style of cooking native to Jamaica, in which meat is dry-rubbed or wet marinated with a hot spice mixture called Jamaican jerk spice. Some historians believe it was originally developed by Maroons, enslaved Africans who escaped into the wilds of Jamaica when the British captured the island from Spain in 1655.”

In order to bring you authentic Jamaican cuisine we could be proud of, and do jerk the right way, we needed to consult a jamaican chef so that is exactly what we did. putting together the perfect blend of seasoning and then importing one of the top marinades from Jamaica to create a unique jerk flavor to bobbers island grill. Once mixed with our house blended marinade, the chicken is then slow roasted for over 4 hours and the pork is roasted over night to ensure the meat is tender and full of flavor. Now we have a star entree item that will take center stage From that point on. The Jerk combo was born so bring a hefty appetite and get a taste of both the chicken and pork straight from the islands on one plate. If you want to add even more island to your entree, we offer scotch bonnet sauces we can bring to your table.

We’ve paired our house specialty to create some hearty and tasty entrees and appetizers for your dining experience. The BBQ Jerk Pork Mac n Cheese is a must try, when paired with the mac n cheese it brings such an interesting flavor to the table. Then you have the Big Juicy Bobber Burger Challenge, 3 pounds of meat, hamburger patty jerk pork and bacon, on one sandwhich. Can you dominate it in less that 30 mins and be immortalized on the Sea Of Fame?

We hope that you Come in and try all of our delicious Jerk entrees and appetizers. Our menu does change from time to time so make sure to look it over for new items.
